Pipe & Tabor had the pleasure to work with Javier Pena on the recent production “For Once In My Life.” It’s a document about The Spirit of Goodwill Band by Jim Bigman and Mark Moormann. about a band assembled from workers at a main Goodwill Industries location in Miama, Florida, and the triumphs they experience through the power of music. Those that see and hear the band experience their joy for the music they play, and are changed for the better by the experience. There was even a guest appearance by Emilio Estefan Jr and the Mayor of Miami. It will be shown on PBS February 1, 2011 across the country at 10pm. Consult your local listings for the exact time and date in case it’s not consistent from broadcaster to broadcaster.
